Cristiano Ronaldo: «Só nós sabemos o que custou este apuramento»

Cristiano Ronaldo a comentar o apuramento para o Euro 2008, depois do empate caseiro com a Finlândia (0-0), em declarações à RTP:
«Sabíamos que ia ser um jogo extremamente difícil. A Finlândia esteve quase sempre atrás da linha da bola. Nós batemo-nos bem e com espírito de grupo fizemos uma bela segunda parte. Bastava o empate e é certo que tínhamos a ambição de ganhar, mas estamos apurados. O ambiente é fantástico. Só nós sabemos o que custou este apuramento. Todo o grupo está de parabéns. O mister também está de parabéns, porque voltou ao banco e deu sorte.»
«Os adeptos foram fantásticos. Hoje sim, mostraram a verdadeira garra portuguesa. Fez lembrar os jogos do Euro. Espero que assim continue. Se todos puxarmos para o mesmo lado é mais fácil.»
«Na primeira parte não estivemos tão bem mas não perdemos a frieza e na segunda parte entrámos muito bem. A Finlândia só teve uma ou duas oportunidades. Nós tivemos mais e controlámos o jogo do princípio ao fim. Merecemos estar na posição em que estamos.»
