Cristiano Ronaldo o Jogador Mais Valioso em campo frente ao Urawa

Cristiano Ronaldo promete manter o nível alto na nova temporada do Manchester United. Frente ao campeão do Japão, Urawa Reds, o avançado português foi considerado o jogador mais valioso (MVP), marcando um dos golos do encontro.
Perante cerca de 60 mil espectadores, Cristiano Ronaldo começou por provocar emoções fortes ao forçar o guarda-redes do Urawa a uma defesa soberba, na sequência de um remate de longe. Ao minuto 52, o jogador luso conseguiu finalmente balançar as redes, após assistência de Ryan Giggs.
O Manchester United não foi além de uma igualdade (2-2) no encontro amigável realizado no Saitama Stadium. Darren Fletcher apontou o outro golo da formação britânica, com o Urawa Reds a chegar ao empate através de Hideki Uchidate e Shinji Ono.
Nani e Hargreaves, reforços dos «red devils», não alinharam neste encontro, mas o técnico Alex Ferguson garante que os dois jogadores devem estrear-se nos dois encontros amigáveis que a equipa irá realizar na China, a 23 e 27 de Julho.
